Bring your favorite HKUST fun moments, memories, and campus vibes to life through graphic design. Whether it’s late-night study breaks, seafront hangs, or student society events—translate your happiest HKUST moments into a winning key visual!

 

Submission Requirements

Your submission must include the following materials in the submission form:

  • File Type: PDF
  • File Size: Maximum 10MB

Note: High-resolution files/ editable source files (AI/PSD/Canva link) may be requested from shortlisted winners for printing purposes.

  • Bonus Points

Submit a merchandise mock-up (like a tote bag, mug, or pin) to showcase how your graphic works as a Fun Day souvenir. Judges will award up to 20 extra points for creative souvenir concepts!

Design Guidelines

  • All design works submitted must be original.
  • Pantone colors may be used as a reference for the design, including color choice of the materials used for the souvenir design
  • Designs containing abusive ideas, propaganda, or any elements which HKUST deems inappropriate or that may negatively impact the University's branding and reputation are strictly prohibited. Designs that violate these rules or infringe on copyright will be disqualified.
  • For your design to work along with HKUST's branding, please refer to the HKUST Brand Guidelines. The following pages may be particularly useful for designing:

Each design submission will be assessed by the judging panel based on the following criteria:

Judging Panel

For preliminary round, all submissions will be assessed by a judging panel consisting of members of HKUST faculty, Dean of Students’ Office, Global Engagement and Communications Office, alumni representatives, and other selected HKUST members.

The finalists' designs will be reassessed by votes by HKUST members from 6-15 January, 2027.
