About the Competition
Your Campus, Your Canvas!
— Define Your HKUST Fun
Got an unforgettable campus memory, a favorite hidden spot, or a moment that made you smile? Turn your vision into art! Express what "fun" means to you at HKUST and leave your mark on university history.
In celebration of HKUST’s 35th Anniversary, the Global Engagement & Communications Office (GECO) is calling on all HKUST students to showcase the 1-HKUST spirit through your unique creative lens! The winning design will become the official Key Visual for HKUST Fun Day 2027—featured across major event backdrops, promotional campaigns, and even a souvenir to share the joy with the HKUST community!
Eligibility
All HKUST students (full-time/ part-time) are welcome!
This competition is open to both individuals and teams (maximum 4 members per team). Each participant may enter the competition only ONCE.
Assessment
Entries will be assessed by a judging panel consisting of members of HKUST faculty, Dean of Students’ Office, Global Engagement & Communications Office, alumni representatives, and other selected HKUST members. The judging criteria of the design will be based on its creativity, aesthetics, feasibility and connection to HKUST. For details, please refer to Assessment Criteria under Design Guidelines & Submission page.
Timeline
Shortlisted entries selected by our panel will be advanced to a HKUST Voting Round on our website. The design with most votes wins the grand title and will be adopted as the theme graphic for HKUST Fun Day 2027. All finalist artworks will also be showcased at HKUST Fun Day 2027 exhibition – sharing “Your HKUST Fun” and creativity to the HKUST community!
